Custom Modular
Walers & Struts
Engineered for strength and adaptability. Bolted together instead of welded in place, so your excavation support goes in faster, safer and with fewer surprises on site.

Support of excavation, built off-site and bolted up on site
Traditional temporary works are often fabricated and welded in position, which demands specialized crews, good weather and sites that allow hot work. infraMOD takes a different route: most fitting and welding is completed in a controlled shop environment, ahead of schedule.
What arrives on site is a simple-to-assemble modular system, installed quickly by less specialized resources. That means shorter site schedules, lower installed cost and fewer risks for your crew.
- Simple bolted connections between components
- No welded shear connections between waler beams and king piles
Built for speed, certainty and safety
Every system is developed from a three-dimensional model, so the installation crew works from clear visual plans instead of guesswork.
Fewer site welds
Eliminating welded shear connections between waler beams and king piles minimizes the site welding that is so often performed in difficult conditions.
Perfect fit-up
The waler and strut system can be trial assembled in our shop, so fit-up is proven before anything ships to site.
Installed in days
Complete installation in just days lets excavation proceed earlier than planned. Individual struts go in within 3–4 hours without specialized equipment or resources.
Custom where it counts, standard where it saves
infraMOD solutions use standard pre-designed products, site-specific solutions, or a combination of both, so you get the right fit everytime.
Standard
Pre-designed products
Proven modular components for quick delivery and a simple, uncomplicated installation.
Custom-engineered systems
Modular design adapts to many geometries, so the system is built around your excavation rather than the other way around.
The best of both
Many components are identical, which allows changes to installation sequences without the risk of incorrect components on site.
Traditional welded vs. infraMOD modular
| Traditional welded design | infraMOD modular | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the work happens | Most of the work performed in position, on site | Most fitting and welding done off-site in a controlled shop |
| Crew requirements | Specialized, highly skilled resources with strictly managed quality | Installed quickly by less skilled resources |
| Weather and site limits | Welding is difficult in poor weather and on sites that restrict hot work | Bolted connections reduce weather delays and hot-work exposure |
| Connections | Welded shear connections to king piles | Simple bolted connections |
| Fit-up | Discovered during installation | Trial assembled in the shop beforehand |
| Installation plan | Dependent on field interpretation | 3D-modelled, with detailed visual installation plans |
How a custom system comes together
Projects see the greatest success when infraMOD is involved at the very beginning.
Early engagement
We review site conditions, geometry and sequencing with your team.
Design & 3D model
The system is developed in a three-dimensional model with visual installation plans.
Off-site fabrication
Fitting and welding happen in a controlled shop, supported by FastArc and SpeedArc robotic technology.
Trial
assembly
The waler and strut system is test-fitted in our shop for a proven fit-up {as needed}.
Deliver & install
Components arrive ready to bolt up, so excavation can start sooner.
