Overview

Overhead protection structures are used where construction work must proceed directly above operating rail lines or roads. The deck acts as a barrier against falling loads, protecting the infrastructure and public below while allowing work to continue on schedule.

Field-Proven Use Case

Crash decks installed beneath tower cranes operating over active public rail corridors.

Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code

Incorporates prescribed load conditions, safety factors, fabrication, and installation requirements.

CAN/CSA S269.1

Temporary Shoring & Protective Structures

Governs fabrication and installation requirements for temporary protective works.

Design Margin

Applying these rigorous standards to temporary structures results in inherently conservative design margins.

01

Modular by design

Adaptable to a wide range of spans and site geometries.

02

Rated for heavy loads

Handles heavy construction equipment loads, well above standard vehicular traffic demands.

03

Proven in the field

Used on active infrastructure projects, including rail corridors beneath live crane operations.
