What Is Hydraulic Bracing?

Simplicity, for complex excavations

Hydraulic bracing is a reusable excavation support system that combines modular components, hydraulic adjustability, rapid installation and minimal on-site fabrication. It gives you a flexible alternative to custom steel frames, welded bracing and tieback systems across a wide range of excavation sizes, geometries and site conditions.

Why Hydraulic Bracing?

Faster. Safer. Simpler.

Faster

Components can be assembled, adjusted and removed without cutting, welding or modification on site.

Safer

All major components are pre-engineered and feature integral lifting points, allowing safer handling and reducing the risk of damage.

Simpler

Standardized components make it easy to assemble.

Key Features

Modular, reusable, quick-pin connected

Quick-pin structural connections allow fast assembly, installation and removal, so one system can accommodate a range of excavations.
01

Hydraulic Ram Assembly

Double-acting hydraulic rams provide controlled installation, preloading and precise adjustment for minor site deviations. An integral mechanical lock-off valve then secures the brace in position, supporting easy installation and removal.

02

Pinned Connections

Pinned connections enable rapid assembly and disassembly without extensive bolting or welding, while providing the capacity to withstand demanding load cases and reverse-bending forces.
03

Integrated Shear Stops

Extension beams include shear stops welded to the beam at 3 ft / 0.9 m spacing, allowing knee or corner braces to be installed at any location along the beam. Knee brace forces can also be taken directly into the connecting lugs at the end of the extension beam sections.

infraMOD Engineering Support

Three phases, one coordinated team

Behind every project is a team of engineers and advisors bringing design, pre-construction, manufacturing and construction together, coordinated through three phases.
01

Discover

Establishes clarity across scope, budget, timeline and concept. Critical insights and evidence give you a foundation for informed decisions, often uncovering opportunities to save time and money.
02

Design / Engineering

Project management, design, constructability and logistics are integrated into one seamless plan. We work with your team on a solution that fits your site constraints and installation schedule.
03

Deliver

Project Delivery and Logistics teams, integrated from the outset, ensure a smooth transition from design to final delivery, avoiding the delays and cost overruns that traditionally come with translating design into product.
Why infraMOD?

Over 35 years of solutions driven support

For over 35 years, infraMOD has evolved through engineering expertise, advanced steel fabrication, and modular innovation.

Total package solutions

Bracing, shoring and anchoring under a single roof, so you avoid sourcing from and managing multiple suppliers.

Designed success

The infraMOD methodology and engineered design capabilities create a safer, faster and more cost-effective construction process.

Constructability first

We plan ahead for access, equipment compatibility and erection sequencing, backed by strong coordination and clear communication.

Modular solutions reduce risk

Off-site modular fabrication means lower injury risk on site, fewer weather delays and reduced work stoppage.
“They understood our problem and offered the right solution – that’s why we brought them in.”
