Project Spotlight: Nisutlin Bay Bridge (Yukon)
infraMOD is playing a comprehensive role in the replacement of the Nisutlin Bay Bridge in Teslin, Yukon, handling both the temporary support structures and the permanent bridge components.
This extensive infrastructure project, valued between $2–4.9 million with a total steel tonnage of 3,000 tons, involved the fabrication of:
Temporary Trestle Bridge
Cofferdams and Bubble Ring Curtains
Floating Platform
Permanent Steel Girders
By fabricating both the essential temporary steel solutions (like the trestle bridge) and the permanent bridge girders, infraMOD is ensuring project continuity and high-quality results for the Government of Yukon’s major infrastructure upgrade.
SCOPE OF WORK
infraMOD performed a variety of work for this project. The scope of the work included:
- Trestle Bridge
- Cofferdams
- Bubble Ring Curtains
- Floating Platform
- Permanent Steel Girders
infraMOD is also fabricating the girders for the new permanent bridge.
SOLUTION
The Government of Yukon is replacing the Nisutlin Bay Bridge as it deteriorates with age. Not only will the new bridge be easier to maintain, but it will allow for increases in traffic and be safer for pedestrians. infraMOD fabricated the temporary trestle bridge, floating platforms, and various other steel solutions to begin the replacement project, and we are excited to be fabricating the permanent steel bridge as well.
RESULT
The expected completion date for the Nisutlin Bay Bridge is the spring of 2026.
